The team is flying to Uganda today. On the way to the airport, Oliver, Grant's 2-year-old son, started singing...
Great is Thy faithfulnessMorning by morning new mercies I see.All I have needed Thy hand hath provided.Great is thy faithfulness, Lord unto me! On his Facebook page, Grant wrote, "Thanks Oliver for the wonderful reminder."
The team has certain things they intend to do and a number of people they anticipate meeting, but they have purposefully left their schedule open so they can be flexible and prayerfully follow the Holy Spirit's prompting. Please pray that they will discern God's direction.
Specific prayer requests include:
- The families at home, especially children being cared for while parents are away.
- Safety. As many are aware, there were bombings in Kampala less than two weeks ago. Though precautionary steps have been taken, not all can be controlled.
- Team members: Carrie and Trevor Hall, Julene Tegerstrand, and Grant Christy.
- The teachers at the God is Good Primary School: Sarah (head teacher), Jim (Primary 1), Stewart (Primary 2), Florence (Primary 3), James (Primary 4), Veronica (office/kitchen). The team has been praying for the teachers over the last month and the teachers have also been praying for the team in preparation for their visit.
- Wilson and Grace Rwomushana, founders of God is Good Primary School and pastor of the African Gospel Church in the village of Katale.

Our Mission
God looked for someone to stand “in the gap” on behalf of people in great need. Instead, God found a conspiracy of extortion, oppression, and injustice (Ezekiel 22:29-30). GAP International, in contrast, seeks to ... - motivate people to generosity,
- humbly serve the marginalized and disenfranchised,
- make room for others through hospitality and compassionate care.
We are compelled to be persons of reconciliation in gratitude for Jesus’ love for us (2 Corinthians 5:14, 20).
GAP International was founded as a Great Commission response to the Great Commandment: love God and neighbor (Luke 10:27). As an expression of love for God, GAP International will love others and embody the gospel of Jesus Christ by building bridges between persons so that skills and resources are shared with those who have a vision to meet the needs of people in their communities.
